IMPROVING STUDENTS' WRITING USING GREETING CARDS

Last year the writer jointed the literacy program which held by Jakarta University. Every evening on Tuesday and Thursday we entered in the zoom meeting started from 7 pm and finished at 9 pm. We were happy cause the coach opened the doors about what material of literacy should prepare to the students? and how to teach using literacy?

The writer have got presentation at the beginning of the program. The topic was Greeting cards. I gave my students learning objective then telling the strategy of teaching and learning next to assist them then we were doing reflection like what materials of difficult do you find? How to find out the problems? and so on. See more learning and teaching at 1st Cycle.

The aspect of online teaching and learning that lets us down is less interactive. The write could present the next topic. It was about ask and give describing of people. The materials taught by zoom meeting. Students were happy because the writer combine asynchronous and synchronous  like whats app group. They were fun and enjoy the activity while the writer asked question they replied fast. See more activity at  2nd Cycle.

The writer was happy in the end of the program. even the writer could share other teacher around Indonesia. We got many experience like how to motivate the students? How confidence do we teach to the students using  siop interactive model? It includes What way to give supplementary material? How to make learning objective and so on.

Team 2 from Virtual Coordinator Training    We are one team consist Pak Wawan. He works at Surakarta Senior High School 01. Pak Joko works at Temanggung junior high school and the writer works at Semarang 42 junior high school. We had arranged to fulfill the requirements for Virtual Coordinator Training Batch 8 Group G&J. The end of the program, we have pick up 2 presenter, 2 moderator, 2 host and 1 dissemination.  The write had wanted to begin presenting s topics they were Google Classroom can distribute, monitor and assist the students'assessments. It's held on Monday the eleven of February 2021  at 1 o'clock PM. The next day the writer presented the second topic of Refection online teaching and learning using blogspot.com. The writer also have kept up with his classmate to be presenter. I have got news that Pak Wawan would present two topics in whole day. They Google site for learning and How to operate OBS. I have read the whats app that Pak Joko would present two topics, they were how to operate Live worksheet and Optimize Google Meet for online learning and teaching.

Finally we presented the target in this training. We were not only open new doors the material of presentation but also it allow us to be have confidence how to speak to the audience. Hi everyone. See me again Amin Wibowo. Let me share all of you how to teach online teaching and learning during pandemic. The writer will start writing from  all people try to find out way language improvement during pandemic. Teachers and educators are being forced to learn online teaching and learning.  Teachers and educators hope it is a bridge the platform  can use online teaching and learning which has easy,simple in operation, no expensive the access, practical in using.  Mostly, they don’t what kind of the platform and how to use it? Many providers of platform provide them during pandemic such as Padlet, Socrative, Quizess, Kahoot, AWS platform, Ruang Guru, Rumah Belajar, Slidego.com, vocaroo,Microsoft  Teams 365, Google Classroom. Each platform has many advantages and weakness, prising is very expensive, complicated in operation, quota, certain HP with certain fitur etc.  how to use the  As they have jointed formal course but so far the writer no getting the result. Many courses have offered promotion price but no one course can persuade the writer to joint that course. Amin  Wibowo is one of English teacher at Semarang 42 junior high school tried to practice English using social media such as English 101.com, Interactive English.   finally he has choose  the TEFLIN Language Improvement Course. It’s also providing 4 language skills: Listening; Speaking; Reading and Writing.

TEFLIN Language Improvement Course  begins Unit 0: Introduction to the course. Hi, Everyone. How are you today? Hopefully you are just fine. I have jointed the event of online seminar which was held by AISEI. There were many presenters. They are Ms. Chapri, Mr. Dadang, Ms. Gilang and Ms. Fathin. I really like the online seminar because it had critical thinking in classroom ideas.

Many kind of ways to learn our students whose high order thinking skills such as give them challenge question using bamboozle( see more detail at bamboozle ) then in the first session Ms. Gilang asked me to watch the video. It contains children studied in the dark using candle. We should answer the question such as what do you feel about  the situation? How if you were they? etc. It seems we can learn that to teach students have high order thinking skills through simple questions.

At the end  Ms. Chapri  told that the participant supposed to have Aisei's member card. I tried to get register then I'got the good news that I have Aisei's member card 546.
